Heads up display dimensions display when components, such as walls, are selected with the Element Selection tool. When heads up dimensions are active, you can select a dimension to modify the dimension value and the position of the component.

In the image below, a wall is selected to activate heads up display dimensions. Note that the wall highlights. A dimension to the selected wall is then selected for modification. Also note that the selected dimension highlights.

The dimension value opens in a Heads Up Display dimension editor. When you change the value of the dimension and clicks the check mark to accept the modification, the heads up display dimension value changes and the wall (or applicable component) dynamically moves into the new position. You can also click Close to reject the change.

With the Element Selection tool active, heads up display dimensions are cleared with a data point in open space.
